Karl moved to Virginia with his family in 1979.
He has owned property and lived at Smith
Mountain Lake since 1984.
Karl graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Accounting. He
also holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from the Medical College of Virginia.

Karl has significant business and financial management experience as a hospital
administrator for twenty-three years and
as an entrepreneur, has owned his own
business since 1979. In addition to his
business and financial management background, Karl has many years of experience investing in real estate
and property management, serving as a
board member on several property owners associations.
Karl is Past President of the
Roanoke/Franklin Unit of the American
Cancer Society, Relay for Life Co Chair,
and current board member of the ACS.
Karl is also past treasurer of the Rotary
Club of Roanoke and has been a
member of that club since 1985. Karl is a current volunteer with the Smith Mountain Lake Charity Home Tour.
